I wanted to bring back my Leafstorm 8 with some important technical improvements while leaving the basic design unchanged. I knew if I made the knives myself, they'd be way too expensive for most buyers and I could only finish a few knives per month. So I decided to cooperate with a leading OEM knife manufacturer in China to bring you an absolutely top quality product at a reasonable price.

I wanted offer a lot of room for customization in the Leafstorm 824 edition. So I had the knives made with a milled pocket and threaded holes on the presentation side of the titanium grips but without an inlay in place. I make and install the inlays personally in my workshop before shipping to the buyer. This way I can constantly offer new inlays and customers can buy one Leafstorm 824 and several inlays - which are attached with 2 small screws and easily swapped out at home. All you need is a T8 Torx driver.

The new Leafstorm 824 is my classic Leafstorm 8 at an EDC-friendly price, updated for 2024 and beyond.
Upgrades include:
  • Böhler M390 3mm Stainless Steel Blades on precision bearings
  • Grade 5 Titanium Grips with hardened, stainless lock bar insert
  • Titanium Spacer with Lanyard Hole
  • Tangent Lock Pivot similar to the one on my handmade folders
  • Stainless Spring Steel Clip
    • These are the same clips used on my handmade folders. I attach the clip in my shop when installing the overlays. My clips use the industry standard Benchmade 3-hole pattern for 2-56UNC screws which allows the substitution of any other clip you fancy which uses this screw pattern.
